It all begins with an idea.
This is a visual representation of the thought process behind Ghasri’s Community Centre, illustrating how a phenomenological research approach shaped the project. The research led to a detailed brief influenced by both the site and its surrounding context. This data played a direct role in guiding the design that followed.

Ghasri 2024
The research identified three key findings: a lack of communal gathering spaces, limited access to nature, and the importance of Ghasri’s folkloristic heritage. In many cases, access to green spaces is shared with vehicles and often limited to overgrown, neglected paths and roads.
Designing spaces with accessibility in mind would create safer and more inviting areas for people to gather. Ghasri’s rural charm is a core characteristic that has become increasingly rare and must be preserved. By establishing educational spaces, we can help future generations connect with and appreciate this unique way of life.
